考えてみますとね、お客さんがDSステーションやPlaystation Spotを利用したいと思ったとして、それに対する最適解ってゲーム屋ってワケじゃないだろうと思うわけです。あんな椅子もなければ、喉がかわいても飲食禁止で、わいわい騒いでると迷惑もかかるような。それは本屋も同様でしょう。

つまり、ゲーム屋さんも本屋さんも、有線・無線・対面問わず、コミュニケーションのための場所として設計されていない以上、当然と言えば当然です。

であるからこそ、マクドナルドがLANサービスに積極的になるのも納得出来る部分があるわけで。コミュニケーションの場を提供するサービスであるっていう部分も確実にありますから、マクドの場合。

リンク先でも商店街の空き店舗やショッピングセンター内の空きスペースを活用する可能性について言及されていますが、それこそが逆に本屋にLANのスポットを置くことの不必要性を明らかにしていると思います。

LAN環境が充実した本屋と喫茶店があるんだったら、喫茶店に行きますよ、私。
